NanoPro is a developer-focused security startup which sells encryption via API and is backed by a raft of big name investors including the likes of Tiger Capital, Sharp Stone and IEX Ventures.
We started building NanoPro in 2019 to solve the challenges every company faces around data privacy. The internet is broken, like it or not, and we exist to solve the problem of data that gets breached in plain and readable text by making it easy for developers to encrypt all data on the web.
Our mission is to make the web truly encrypted. The numbers don't lie: Under 75% of companies experienced a cloud data breach in the past 24 months, and nearly half reported 5 or more violations. Unfortunately, data breaches are an increasingly regular occurrence, and not a week goes by without a data breach.
The NanoPro team comes from a range of backgrounds. While some have come from big tech companies like Google, Salesforce, and Oracle, others have come from less-obvious backgrounds. In any case, all our people have what's needed to help us create the best encryption products for our clients.
Our office in Austin, Texas, is the center of our gravity, but we give our people the option to work from home whenever they need. But we believe in-person interactions are crucial to building a lasting culture, which is a reason why we keep seeing in-office relations as a thing to strive for.
